Mess-up with December 2nd Board Meeting

The December Board Meeting will be held tonight at 6:30PM in the HOA's office at 305 Ridge Trail Drive. Due to very limited space, tonight's meeting attendance will be limited to Board members and Voting Members.

The Minutes of the November 18th Board Meeting have not been published yet, but apparently there was an attempt by some of the directors to change the Board Meeting frequency from monthly to not-less-than-quarterly.

This is yet another reason why officers should have been elected at the first board meeting following the Annual Meeting of Voting Members, which was the Board Meeting on November 18th. This meeting-night mess would not have happened.

It's hard enough to Members (homeowners) to know what is really going on with their HOA. The four elected directors (Brenda Bryant, Jeff Lummel, Linda Potter, and Angelo Turley-Moore) want monthly meetings to continue. They welcome the homeowner participation at monthly meetings.

The other three directors (Tanisha Holmes, William Hill, Noel Weatherbee) now compose the minority side of the board. The shoe is on the other foot.

Was the new Property Manager told to remove the BOD Meeting from the online December Calendar?

Was the Property Manager told not to inform all the Board Members that the Dec. 2nd board meeting would not appear on the online Calendar? Who gave him such an order, if it did happen?

Was the Property Manager told not to find a suitable venue for the December 2nd (tonight's) board meeting?

Was the Property Manager told not to communicate with the Members (homeowners) about the December 2nd Board Meeting that was publicized in the Summit Scoop? Is that why there was no email blast to the Members about the location of the December 2nd meeting? Or about the meeting, at all?
  • There has to be a December 2nd BOD Meeting.
  • The 2026 Budget has to be approved;
  • Officers (President, VP, Sec'y., Treas.) have to be elected and announced;
  • Bank signature cards have to be authorized, signed, and delivered to the financial institutions; and
  • Other important decisions have to be made.
