"Nominating Committee formed" - Seriously?

Near the beginning of the Minutes of the October 7, 2025 Board Meeting, right under Neighborhood Concerns it reads, in part,

"Nominating Committee formed
- Members: Carmen Claud, Mary Beth Edwards, Stan Haines.
- Will review board applications.
- Meeting scheduled for second Tuesday of November, may be rescheduled.
- Voting members encouraged to visit the office to express interest in joining committees.
- Must be active and attend meetings."

What does "formed" mean? Why did they think, on October 7th, that the November 11th board meeting might have to be re-scheduled? How much did that have to do with the letter that Danny Trapp had sent to Brookland Baptist Church Northeast in mid-September, which resulted in the Church's banning three homeowners and one resident from the church property (and HOA board meetings and the Annual Meeting of Voting Members)?

For years there have been Nominating Committees. From December 2023 until October 2024 no chairperson of the Nominating Committee was listed in the Summit Scoop, even though Members were. Patricia Pollin was listed on the HOA's website as the Nominating Committee chairperson, and she wasn't even a legitimate Board Member or Member of the Association. Why did Danny Trapp allow that? For a long time, Mike Bryant, James Glenn, Jeff Lummel, and Kristie O'Brian were listed on the HOA's website and in the Summit Scoop as members of the Nominating Committee. Who removed them from the Committee?

So why is the lie published in the Scoop that the Nominating Committee was "formed" on October 7, 2025?

In the September 2025 Summit Scoop Tanisha Holmes' name first showed up as chairperson of the Nominating Committee and all the old Committee members are listed. There is no mention in any Scoop or Board Minutes of when or how she was appointed as chairperson of that Committee or approved by the Board, which is required by the PRM (Art. III, §H, ¶(1)).

What happened to Bryant, Lummell, Glenn, and O'Brian?

Where did Edward and Haines come from?

Why was the Nominating Committee re-constituted only one month before the Annual Meeting of Voting Members, at which four directors would be elected? Why were two new, unknown persons put on this important committee so soon before an important election? Who was behind that?

What is your opinion when a State goes through a redistricting shift before an election?  It has the very strong possibility of influencing the outcome of an election, doesn't it? There wasn't a re-districting in the HOA, but new faces replaced long-time, experienced committee members. I'd certainly hate to think that was the plan in The Summit's HOA!

The Members of the Association should be very thankful that the Voting Members were on their toes and were prepared to shut down improper influence at the time of the election during the Annual Meeting of Voting Members. They anticipated the shenanigans and shut them down.

As a result, four good people were elected to the Board. Brenda Bryant (re-elected), Jeff Lummel, Linda Potter (re-elected), and Angelo Turley-Moore. This happened in spite of "the Nominating Committee", which had not nominated Bryant, Lummel, or Turley-Moore. All four will be strong voices FOR the benefit of the Members.
