Opening Day for The Human Bean is June 23. Err, WAS June 23

The Human Bean opened June 23. The Bean bought a full-page ad in the Summit Scoop (see the June issue, page 7) and welcomed Summit residents with a $2 discount (if using its app) PLUS an additional $1 off if you mention the Scoop on opening day (June 23).

That was pretty hard to do, when the Scoop hit your newspaper box late on the 23rd.

For months the Board members have flapped their lips about delivery of the Scoop late in the month. Wednesday was June 23rd. The June edition of the Scoop was delivered on June 23rd. Why was it delivered late in this month - Again?

One of the huge problems is that no homeowner or board member oversees the Scoop. Instead, an office employee of CAMS controls the Scoop.

How do I know this? Look at the Committee listings on the HOA website. Way at the bottom.

Delivering the Scoop early in the month is not difficult. If the board actually made a decision and ordered the Scoop to be dellivered on the first or second day of the month, then all the production steps are just backed up from the delivery day. Simple. Piece of cake.

The HOA should refund the price of the full-page ad to The Human Bean. It didn't get its money's worth.
