Didn't William Hill Resign?

Back on October 10, 2025 I wrote about a rumor circulating that William Hill had submitted his letter of resignation from the Board of Directors.

The Board didn't meet on November 12, but it did on November 18th, right after the Annual Meeting of Voting Members.

The Voting Members did not re-elect Danny Trapp, so any plan to replace Hill with Vernell Butler collapsed. Butler was a candidate for the Board, and he was not elected.

The Board did not address Hill's letter of resignation on November 18, December 2, or January 6. 

The easiest way for the Board to address Hill's sitting at the front of the room in a Director's seat is to vote on a Motion to accept his letter of resignation on February 3.

If it doesn't, then the Board should remove him by Motion and vote, because he has never been a legitimate member of the Board. He was improperly appointed on July 1st. I've written extensively about that previously. If you want to see it again, just let me know.

Noel Weatherbee is also not a legitimate Board member, because she also was improperly appointed on July 1st. The Board should remove her.

If the Board doesn't, then the Voting Members should remove both.

When Ciara Bates, Secretary, and LaToya Adams,  Treasurer, resigned in May 2025, no one was ever properly appointed by the Board to succeed them. 

Hill could not become Treasurer and Weatherbee could not become Secretary, because they were not properly appointed as Directors on July 1. The HOA was without a Treasurer and Secretary from May until December 1, 2025.

Hill, who was also chairperson of the Safety Committee, is the same William Hill who emailed me on November 12, 2024 and told me, "We are not allowed to park on the streets." When I emailed him twice and asked why not, he never replied.

The HOA office sent out an email at 3:29PM that read, in part, Due to Brookland Baptist Church being unavailable to accommodate the scheduled Board of Directors meeting on June 3rd, the meeting will now be held at the Summit Association office. What? No trampolines?

OK, you trampoline fans. Are your rights and privileges being tramped on by your Board of Directors? The office sent out an email just before 2:00PM threatening you with a dreaded violation notice and the possibility of fines, if you dare to put a trampoline in your yard.  This is what the email from the office said,  " Please be advised that, pursuant to Section 13, Page 22, Article XII of the covenants, no structure of a temporary nature shall be placed upon any unit or any part of the properties. What Story Do the Financials Tell?

At the May 6, 2025 Board of Directors meeting, the March Financial Operating Results were available. Did you pick up a copy? Was there any discussion of them? Usually there is not. Do board members examine them before the meeting? Does anyone on the Board really understand them?  Look at the page for the Operating Expenses - Variances. Twelve Line Items are shown. No totals are shown. Big mistake. But are the totals intentionally omitted? For these 12 Items the total of "YTD Variances" is $61,784.93. As of the end of March, the HOA has over-spent the 2025 Budget by $61,784.93. Look at the reason given for the over-spending in Line Item GL-5111 Irrigation Contract. "This is over budget and will remain over budget due to the 2025 budget is $75,000 and the monthly contracted cost is $10,140."
