Produce the 2021 Audit!

Why hasn't the Summit HOA's board of directors produced the audit for 2021 yet? The next board meeting will be September 6 (the day after Labor Day), unless Justin changes it.

Treasurer Vernell Butler missed last night's board meeting, but that should not have prevented presentation of the Audit.

Last year (2021), the 2020 Audit was dated May 26, 2021, and it should have been presented at the June 1st, 2021 board meeting. It wasn't.

On July 13, 2021 then-Auditor Wayne Rabon attended the board meeting and presented the audit. There were apparently no questions from the board, no comments, and no discussion. The Minutes contain no comments on the audit.

The Finance Committee's report was "The Summit is operating normally." That should have instilled great confidence in 2,480 Members of the HOA.

Rabon's audit is attached to the July 13, 2021 Minutes.

There is a new auditor for the HOA. However, the board never took any official action to select her, appoint her, commission her and estimate the cost of paying her. In fact, her name does not appear in any board meeting Minutes.

The Summit HOA is not an after-school club that can get by with weak assurances that "everything is fine". The HOA has NO employees. It shouldn't be listing $200,000+ as Salaries in financial statements.  It should not be confusing HOA Members (that's you, the homeowners) by calling Line Item 6005 On-Site Management in the Budget and calling it On-Site Maintenance in the Financial Statements.

Angela, past and present Treasurers, and the past Auditor let that pass. Will the new Auditor say, "Hold the horses, guys. That is not right!"

Will the HOA get a clean bill of health from the new auditor?

Where is the Audit???
