Who Wrote to Me?

Yesterday I received this comment through the Message function on my blog:

"I see you don't mind posting misinformation. I wonder where you get your facts from." 

An email address was shown, but no Sender's name was included.

Today I sent this reply:

"Thank you for your message about a post on my blog, baronyplace.blogspot.com

"I appreciate your writing. Will you please let me know what you consider "misinformation"? Upon information and belief, everything I post is true. Are you addressing any particular post? If so, which one?

"Please let me know what needs correction and what the correct information is, along with your source. I will be happy to re-check my post. If it was in error, I shall correct it. 

"It will also be helpful to me if you will identify yourself. I do not post information on my blog from anonymous sources, nor do I reveal sources of information without their permission.

"Thanks again for your comment."

By the time I sent this message today at 9:20AM, the Sender had shut down the email address. My guess is that it was created just for the comment and was then closed. The Sender's email address was "Bwheezt@gmail.com".

I can guess who sent it. Two minutes before the Comment was emailed to me at 1:31PM (Monday), an incoming call from a female Board Member registered on my phone (1:29PM), but no message was left for me.

M.H.G.A. - Make HOA Great Again!

Homeowners and Residents in The Summit can look forward to positive changes in how the HOA is run.  It's my feeling that homeowners (Members) and Residents will experience a new era of Respect that hasn't been here for a long time.  Allow your new Board a "honeymoon" period. The new leadership of the Association (meaning the officers on the Board of Directors) will be hard at work to get a handle on everything that is wrong and to begin fixing it. It won't happen overnight. Be sure to welcome Brenda Bryant, Jeff Lummel, Linda Potter, and Angelo Turley-Moore to their new roles as President, Vice-President, Treasurer,  and Secretary, respectively. About Fines in The Summit's HOA

Do you bother to inspect the Budget when it is proposed for the following year? Do you ever examine the monthly financial reports of the HOA? How much do you think the HOA will collect in fines this year? How much do you think the HOA collected in Fines last year? The Line in the Budget that you'll want to look at is Line 4600 Fines - Violations. Sitting down? In 2024 the HOA collected $57,446.91 in Fines. The amount budgeted in 2024 was $20,000. In 2025 the HOA expects to collect $50,000. As of June 30, 2025 the HOA has collected $38,670. At this pace the HOA will collect $77,340 in the full year, or $27,340 (55%) more than estimated in the Budget. Why are fines running so high? Should the Board just grin and rub their hands together in glee, or should the Board create an ad hoc Committee to examine the Fines category and determine what can be done to reduce the penalties on its Members?
