Board cancels July 11th meeting - WHY?

At 10:06AM the HOA office sent out an email, announcing cancellation of tomorrow night's HOA monthly board meeting.

No reason or explanation, of course.

What's up with this board?

It owes the homeowners the 2022 Annual Audit, which was presented publicly to the board on June 6. Why is the Board hiding out from the HOA members and not making itself available to hear complaints and questions from homeowners?

Is it that Justin can't attend the meeting? He's the HOA President. What about having the Vice President run the meeting? That's Mary Ann Game. She's the one who announced incorrect election results last November and named Auby Dellinger, who was chairing the monthly meeting (due to Justin's absence) as being re-elected. But he wasn't, and she had to correct it right in front of him and tell him he was not re-elected!

Or did four board members 'fess up and say they would not be attending? That would eliminate a quorum.

OK, homeowners. Call the office (803.865.0609) and ask why the meeting was canceled and who canceled it. I'd call, but they won't tell me. I'm just a lowly resident. When you find out, let me know.

Residents have questions about landscaping, crime, speeders. They want to know the details of the Special Duty Agreement. Exactly what are deputies doing for $48.00/hour? They can't check IDs at the pools or parks. What ARE they doing?

The Board should be working on the RFP for the management contract, which is currently held by CAMS. The Board ought to be interested in Member input about the budget, but you can be sure that the public will not be asked.

Two years ago Justin rushed through an early approval of a two-year extension on the contract with CAMS, reasoning that Angela was pregnant. Apparently, there was only one bid - from CAMS.

Justin said that other professional HOA management companies would not bid, because they wouldn't do business the way that the HOA wanted. I immediately wondered exactly what the HOA wanted (or didn't want) them to do.

Will that happen again this year?
