Summit Scoop - April 2026

The April edition of The Summit Scoop was published today.

What a joke! Why not just kill it and save time and money?

The first joke was the "Manager's Report" (Page 1), which wasn't a "report" at all. 

Why didn't the Manager report why the Minutes of the March 3, 2026 Board Meeting have never been published?

Why didn't the Manager report why the Financial Operating Results have not been published for September 2025, October 2025, November 2025, December 2025, January 2026, February 2026?

Why didn't the Manager provide details on the 85 violations issued by the Covenants Committee? Were any of these for parking on the streets of The Summit?

The second joke was the "President's Report", which also wasn't a "report". Why didn't the President report what actions have been taken by the Board after the last Board Meeting on March 3, 2026?

Why didn't she report that the Board removed Jeff Lummel as Vice-President and replaced him with Noel Weatherbee? How was that in the best interests of the Association???

Why didn't the President report what happened to $445,336.86 Cash & Cash Equivalents between 1/31/25 and 1/31/26?

Why didn't the President report how much was wasted on the illegal litigation against Gus Philpott (me) from December 2024-January 2026 and what efforts will be made to recover those funds?

It was illegal because it was filed in the name of the Association in violation of the CC&Rs and without Board approval. All monies paid out for legal fees were illegal disbursements, because the Board never approved (couldn't approve) the litigation.

Why didn't the President report that the 2024 Annual Audit had been received and is posted on the HOA's website and when the Auditor will present his findings to the Board and answer questions about the Audit?

Why didn't the President report why there are no chairman and no members of the (HOA's) Neighborhood Committee?

Why didn't the President report what steps are being taken to correct the faulty Board election process* that was acknowledged in the Minutes of the January 6, 2026 Board Meeting.

Why didn't the President report why there are no chairman and no members of the Nominating Committee?

* The election process wasn't just "not ideal", as stated in the January Minutes. It was fraudulent, as it has been for years. 

This Board (the Board make-up since November 18, 2025) has turned out to be "more of the same" and operating as the Boards did under Justin Martin and Danny Trapp.

The HOA has only one legitimate, duly-elected Voting Member (Barony Place). There should be 28 Voting Members. The HOA will be unable to amend the CC&Rs and the By-Laws. It will be unable to hold a legitimate election in November 2026. It will be unable to raise dues more than 10%.

No members of the current Board were duly-elected. That's because they were "elected" by people (except for one) who were not entitled to vote. The HOA doesn't even have a legitimate Board of Directors, as required by South Carolina State law.
