Homeowner Alert - now, Bi-Monthly Meetings
For more than 20 years, the HOA has held monthly Board meetings. Even during COVID, meetings were held monthly, although they were online.
At last night's Board meeting, Board President Brenda Bryant announced that future board meetings would be held bi-monthly.
Note: at one of the last board meetings that Danny Trapp presided over (October 2025?), he tried, unsuccessfully, to change board meetings from monthly to quarterly.
The problem is that it was announced last night as a "done deal." There was no discussion. There was no vote. It was fait accompli.
Because it was a long-standing practice of the Boards (20 years), why did this board want to change it? When and how did they make the decision to change it? Why wasn't that done in a public, open, Regular Board Meeting? Why was it decided in secret?
What will happen behind closed doors in-between meetings? The next Regular Board Meeting may be May 5.
The Board already does too much out-of-sight of the Members. It holds pre-board meetings ("workshops") and does not inform the Members of its discussions. Does it vote or "make deals" during pre-board meetings? (Is that where they decided on bi-monthly board meetings?) Why aren't Minutes published, so that Members know what is happening?
Does the Board hold Special-Called Board Meetings? Are Minutes kept? Why aren't they announced to Members? Are they open to Members? They should be. Why aren't Minutes published? A Special-Called Meeting is usually for an urgent matter that cannot wait until the next Regular Board Meeting.
Can Members (homeowners) attend these other meetings? Dennis Rybicki ("recognized" Voting Member, Autumn Glen) asked last night whether Voting Members can attend meetings in-between Regular (now bi-monthly) Board Meetings. The answer could not be heard throughout the room.
Barony Place's Voting Member, Tracy Manderino, asked a question last night. Neither her question nor the answer could be heard throughout the room.
How do you feel about the change from monthly meetings to bi-monthly meetings? Like it? Disagree? Please comment below. More importantly, inform the Board how you feel.
