Rattray Complaint Against Four Homeowners

The Pontiac Magistrate's Court emailed me a copy of the Complaint filed by Michele Y. Rattray against four homeowners in The Summit.

Her Complaint (Civil Case Number 2026CV4010900304), filed on February 12, 2026, almost completely mirrors a Complaint filed against the same four homeowners in the Blythewood Magistrate's Court by Vernell Butler.

Rattray's hand-written Complaint names Thomas Lummel, Brenda Bryant, Linda Potter, and Angelo Turley-Moore as Defendants. We know Thomas Lummel as Jeff.

She complains "The above defendants violated the South Carolina Non-profit Corporation Act by holding an invalid election to improperly seat board members, which is a clear violation of this act."

In Paragraph 3, Rattray states,

"I believe, because of the above information, that I am entitled to and do request a judgment for $$7,500.00 [sic] and/or relief as below requested:

"Immediate dissolution of the Summit HOA Board of Directors for willfully and knowingly violating the S.C. Nonprofit Corporation Act. I hereby request this election be held in accordance with the above-mentioned act including any costs resulting in this action. I am seeking recoupment of funds disbursed and not collected properly by the aforementioned individu..." (remainder of wording does not appear on the copy furnished to me).

The Court's form includes the following statement in Bold and Capitalized: "I STATE UNDER PENALTY OF PERJURY THAT THE ABOVE STATED FACTS ARE TRUE EXCEPT THOSE BASED ON MY BEST INFORMATION THAT I BELIEVE TO BE TRUE."

Rattray's address and phone number were redacted by the Court's Clerk.

If and when there is ever a trial in Butler's case or Rattray's case, you won't want to miss it.
