Two most-important Committees - Open

According to the agenda for the March 3, 2026 Board Meeting, the Neighborhood Committee is "Open".

This could be the most-important committee in the HOA, because it is the one responsible for assisting each of the 28 neighborhoods to have a legitimate, duly-elected Voting Member. It needs a chairperson, who is appointed by the Board President with the approval of the Board of Directors. It needs enough committee members to carry out its Mission, which is defined on the HOA's website.

A second important committee, the Nominating Committee, isn't even listed on the agenda.

A chairperson of the Nominating Committee was supposed to be appointed at the officer-election meeting, which should have been held on November 18, 2025, instead of on December 1. The chairperson appoints the committee members, and all the committee members must be approved by the Board.

The Nominating Committee is important for at least two reasons: 1) it prepares a slate of nominees for election to the Board each November; and 2) it assists the President and the Board, should a vacancy on the Board occur.

How can the Board leave these two committees "open"?
