Words of Wisdom (?) from the HOA President

As many of you know, I often email the HOA's board of directors with suggestions, such as comply with the By-Laws, hold proper elections, don't disrespect or disparage residents, follow good corporate procedures as far as Minutes and actions, don't enter contracts using an unrelated business' name.

Justin Martin replied to my latest email today with this:

"You may urge us to do anything, quite within your first amendment rights to do so, however we are not inclined to do anything you say or ask. You are not a member of this association and we are not bound to do anything you ask.

"As to your statement about Vernell, you should get an attorney and sue if you're so inclined, and stop threatening the Board or individuals of this association that you are not a member of.

"As far as your correspondence to Ryan, or anyone in the CAMs company is concerned, your emails go straight into the trash bin unread. Most of the emails you send me end up there as well. Why do you think you have any business or oversight into the HOA business, or think anyone would take you seriously? Don't bother to answer, it will go straight to the trash bin for me too."

I replied only to his comment on threats. I have never threatened the board or any member of it or of any committee. Or anyone.

There is, of course, a risk to not reading emails sent to a corporation. If the corporation could correct its actions and avoid consequences, it seems to me that it should consider doing so.

"Ryan" is Ryan McCabe, the HOA's attorney. I very much doubt that my emails to him and to CAMS headquarters go in the trash bins unread. They are smarter than that.
