RCSD Crime Report - February 2025

Would you like to see the RCSD Crime Report for The Summit for the month of February 2025?

Once upon a time the HOA used to publish the Crime Reports. Paul Hill was head of the Safety Committee, and he had a good working relationship with the CAT officer at the time. In addition, Paul was a Director.

Then things changed. A director (I'll leave him unnamed here) thought he'd impress some people and claimed the Reports contained PII. PII is Personally Identifiable Information. It doesn't.

If the Report did contain PII, the Sheriff's Department would never release it to the HOA, to the safety committee, or to an individual who requested it.

The last Crime Report published on the HOA's website is for March 14, 2022 - May 22, 2022. It's a three-month report for March, April, and May. Notice that it's a nine-page report, but the HOA published on four pages (Pages 2, 4, 6, 8). The HOA didn't notice that Pages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 were missing. I did.

I even obtained the full nine-page report from RCSD and forwarded it to the office, but they never updated the copy on the website. The incomplete report is still there today, April 9, 2025!

Today I am forwarding the February 2025 RCSD Crime Report to William Hill, Chair, Safety Committee. Watch the website to see if he has it published. If it doesn't show up within a couple of days, contact him. His phone number (803-606-7216) is published in The Summit Scoop.

Where do you find the RCSD Crime Report? Start on the HOA's homepage. Scroll down. Just below that stale photo that has been there for too many years, and click on Public Service Announcements.
