Summit HOA Facebook Group?
This afternoon Summit HOA Secretary Ciara Bates (2024-2026) posted this message on NextDoor:
Hey neighbors! šš¼I hope youāre all doing well. As a resident of Hunterās Pond in the Summit and a member of The Summit HOA Board, Iām passionate about strengthening our community ties. As part of my initiative, I thought it would be helpful to start a private Summit community Facebook group where we can share updates, events, and helpful infoāa virtual neighborhood hub. It would be a friendly space for collaboration, not for complaints. However, Iāve encountered some resistance from the board president regarding this idea. If youāre interested in supporting this initiative, even unofficially, please email me atHowever, Iāve encountered some resistance from the board president regarding this idea. If youāre interested in supporting this initiative, even unofficially, please email me at bates.cf@gmail.com. You can also share your thoughts with the front office. šļø Your voice matters! I plan to bring this up as ānew businessā at our next HOA meeting, which is on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM at Brookland Baptist Church. All Summit neighborhood homeowners are welcome! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

This is a great idea!
Why would Danny Trapp oppose it?
Ciara was elected to the board in November 2024. She probably had no idea what a hornet's nest she was entering.
I encourage you to email her and support this idea. I would like to be able to contact her and support her, but the HOA's TRO against me prohibits any communication with the board about any affairs of the HOA. While this is not yet an affair of the HOA, I'll side with caution. You can tell her I like the idea.
By the way, according to The Summit Scoop (Page 2), "Board meetings are open to all Summit Residents", not just to homeowners.
