HOA's Newsletter Committee

There has been a revolving door (or game of musical chairs) for the HOA's Newsletter Committee.

The latest version of that door/game on the HOA's website is this:

Newsletter

Mission:

Teresa Rigon, (Chair), and Tim Kudlock.

How did Teresa become the Chair of the Newsletter Committee? Does anyone recall a Motion at a Board Meeting or a vote? There is no mention in Minutes of Board Meetings of such a Motion or vote.

And what is the Mission of the Newsletter Committee?

For several years I have suggested to the Board that this Committee should be chaired by a Board member or a Member (homeowner). I didn't believe that the HOA was well-served by having a CAMS office employee as the Chair (or Editor of The Summit Scoop).

Both The Scoop and the HOA's website need major upgrades or refreshes. These are low priority for the current Board.

Previous chairs of the Newsletter Committee have been short-time CAMS employee, such as Jenn Woodley (who had excellent writing and business skills) and, prior to Jenn, Keyona Williams.

I recall that Vicki McCarthy's name was listed as a member of the Newsletter Committee for a while. Her communication skills could have improved both the Scoop and the website. Her name is gone now.

Tim Kudlock is a Member of the Association and a homeowner in The Summit, but he lives and works in Florida.

The Scoop and the website are under the thumb of the Board President, which may be one of the reasons nothing has been done to improve them. A recent, short-time board member wanted to improve communications with homeowners and residents. She quit in May. The HOA is worse-off for her departure.
