Chanel Taylor (Maywood)

Willie Myers (Pepper Knoll)

Dan Fuente (Pepper Knoll)

Keisha Shropshire (Whitney Falls)

How many of those 17 are legitimate, duly-elected Voting Members or Alternates who were elected by their neighborhoods?

The office should be able to answer that question in two minutes by counting the number of official documents filed by the Neighborhood Committees after their last Annual Neighborhood Meeting (within the past 12 months or so).

By my count, the answer is one (1).  Barony Place held an Annual Meeting with a quorum present on May 10 and elected three homeowners to its Neighborhood Committee.

If you look in The Summit Scoop, you'll see that few neighborhoods list one Voting Member and two Alternates. That's a clue right there that the neighborhood did not have a Neighborhood Meeting and an Election.

The importance of the legality of the Voting Member is lost on most homeowners. A Voting Member can obligate you to the amount of Assessment increase that is needed, which is larger than the $50 the Board is currently talking about for 2026. The Voting Member is your legal representative, and that is why the By-Laws should be followed in electing that person.

* "recognized" does not mean legitimate.

** Tracy Manderino is the single Voting Member who was duly-elected by her neighborhood.
