Board Member Qualities
Who should be on the Board of Directors?
When the Nominating Committee seeks and reviews candidates before an election, this is what they should be looking for -
Quality candidates who are
- of the highest caliber,
- selected for interpersonal skills,
- dedication to the betterment of our Association and community, and
- free of any personal agenda.

If they did their job right, before the last two elections, that's what would be on the Board now.
Here is your Board of Directors today.
Danny Trapp, President and Director (2023-2025)Tanisha Holmes, Vice-President and Director (2024-2026)Ciara Bates, Secretary and Director (2024-2026)LaToya Adams, Treasurer and Director (2024-2006)Brenda Bryant, Director (2023-2025)Linda Potter, Director (2023-2025)Patricia Pollin, Director (2023-2025)
How do they stack up?
The Nominating Committee doesn't even have a Chairman right now, because none was appointed at the Organization Meeting (November 15, 2024), as required in the Procedures Reference Manual (Art. III, §H, ¶1).
The Nominating Committee should be getting busy now to identify four strong, business-oriented, executive-minded, knowledgeable, concerned, involved, smart candidates to run for the four spots that will be open this November.
The terms of four directors (Bryant, Pollin, Potter, Trapp) expire in November 2025.
The terms of three directors (Adams, Bates, Holmes) expire in November 2026.
