Did the HOA hire a PR firm? Read the flowery announcement of tomorrow's Zoom meeting of the HOA's Board of Directors. Tuesday, October 3, 2023, 6:30PM

Here it is, in all its glory -

Dear Homeowners,

After careful consideration and discussion, the Board is pleased to announce the reopening of the Summit's monthly board meetings to all homeowners, beginning tomorrow, October 3rd, 2023 at 6:30pm. Your insight and participation in these meetings are highly valued and appreciated, as they play a vital role in your community's growth and well-being.

Attached to this message, you will find the agenda for tomorrow's meeting scheduled for October 3rd, 2023, at 6:30 PM.

To ensure a smooth and productive meeting, please be mindful of the following guidelines:

1. This is a Board of Directors (BOD) meeting, and all participants will be muted unless specifically called upon. Your questions and concerns will be addressed during the dedicated "Residents' Concerns" portion of the meeting. We kindly request that you hold all questions until that time.

2. For those who prefer to attend the meeting via Zoom, please use the following link and login details provided below. To maintain meeting security, we ask that you refrain from sharing these links and access codes with anyone who is not a homeowner or on public platforms.

We genuinely look forward to seeing you all at the meeting via Zoom. Together, we can continue to make your community an even better place to live. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for your commitment to your community, and I look forward to seeing you all there. Have a wonderful day!

Do you believe that "careful consideration and discussion" nonsense?

And do you believe this?

"Your insight and participation in these meetings are highly valued and appreciated, as they play a vital role in your community's growth and well-being."

That will be a first.

Why repeat the date and time for tomorrow's agenda. Of course, it's for tomorrow's meeting!

If it's a Zoom meeting and if all participants (including board members, except for the presiding officer) are muted, no homeowner will be able to ask a question before that portion near the end of the meeting. There is no need to ask attendees to hold their questions!

And who exactly is going to "prefer to attend the meeting via Zoom"? Everybody will attend by Zoom; right? There is no choice about it.

"maintain meeting security"? What they mean is "meeting privacy".

Do you really believe "We genuinely look forward to seeing you all at the meeting via Zoom."

There are 13 committees. If each committee chair has up-to-two-minutes to report, that will take 26 minutes. Will Justin cut off long-winded chairs who take a long time to say nothing?

What is the "Residents' Concerns" portion of the meeting? The board doesn't even allow residents (non-homeowners) to attend. Did the board attend a revival or something?

About the Agenda. The board and the management company don't ever use the "Old Business" and "New Business" portions of the agenda.

If they did, pool gate-lock fobs would be carried forward as "Old Business", until the board explained what happened to the $42,373 contract with Johnson Controls approved on February 7th and why the new gate locks have not been installed.
