Congratulations, Barony Place Neighborhood!

Today, May 10, 2025, the Barony Place Neighborhood (Barony Place I and Barony Place II (78 homes)) held its Second Annual Neighborhood Meeting.

Fifteen homes were represented in-person and 27 homes were represented by proxy. A quorum (26) was present.

A three-homeowner Neighborhood Committee was elected, and a chairman of the Neighborhood Committee was elected. The chairman becomes the Voting Member. The Voting Member and the Alternates serve for the next 12 months.

This is how it works, folks. This is the only way for a Neighborhood to get a Voting Member.

Barony Place has the only legitimate Voting Member in the entire HOA. If any other neighborhood has held a Neighborhood Meeting in the past 12-13 months, had a quorum present, elected a Neighborhood Committee and then a chairman, I don't know of it.

The other 27 Neighborhoods should follow this same procedure.

Without enough legitimate Voting Members, the HOA
  • cannot elect directors each November;
  • cannot initiate a lawsuit, except under limited, specific conditions;
  • cannot raise the Assessment over 10%, no matter how great the financial crisis;
  • cannot approve amendments to the CC&Rs and By-Laws.
Why won't the Board of Directors take action to assist the other Neighborhoods to comply with the By-Laws and elect Voting Members who are legitimate?
