When Should Monthly Financial Results Be Published?
Every month the management company for the HOA prepares the monthly Financial Operating Results for the Association. For example, the Run-Date for Results for January 2025 was February 14, 2025.
The Run-Date for the Results for February 2025 was March 11, 2025.
Printing the Results at that time of month means the Results are ready before the monthly Finance Committee meeting and before the pre-board meeting, which is normally held one week prior to the monthly Board of Directors meeting.
Could the Results be published on the HOA's website, so that Homeowners (Members of the Association) would have time to examine them and be prepared to ask questions at either the Finance Committee meeting or the Board of Directors meeting on the first Tuesday of the month? The answer is Yes.
The way things are done now is to make a few copies of the Results available at a monthly Board meeting, which means homeowners don't get a chance to examine the Results before the meeting. In the past, the Results have been posted the day after the Board meeting.
EXCEPT for the February 2025 Financial Operating Results. These have never been posted on the HOA's website under their specific category.
They can be viewed as part of the Minutes for the April 1, 2025 Board meeting, but who would think to look there?
Perhaps a Member will ask today why the February 2025 Financial Operating Results have not been posted on the HOA's website.
