HOA Board Meeting - May 6
The monthly Board of Directors meeting will be held this Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at 6:30PM at the Brookland Baptist Church Northeast, 1203 Summit Parkway.
Certain important issues should be addressed:
- Exactly how was it decided that there would no longer be public comment at monthly Board meetings?
- Exactly how was it decided that only homeowners with valid Summit IDs would be allowed to attend monthly Board meetings?
- If the Board did not vote on either issue, did "the Board" decide this, or did "the King" make the decision?
- Why aren't non-homeowning residents allowed at Board meetings? They are affected by decisions of the board.
- Why weren't trampolines discussed at the April meeting, and will they be discussed at the May meeting?
- Why was the 4/1/2025 Board meeting abruptly adjourned without a vote of the Board before any discussion about trampolines?
- Why weren't the February 2025 Financial Operating Results published on the HOA's website after the 4/1/2025 meeting?
- Will the March 31, 2025 Financial Operating Results be posted promptly on the HOA's website (say, on or before May 7th)?
- Was there a 4-3 vote at the 4/1/2025 Board meeting on a new management company for 2026? If so, why wasn't the vote included in the April Minutes?
- Why hasn't a Chair of the Nominating Committee been appointed? The Chair should have been appointed in November 2024.
- Why aren't Old Business and New Business sections of the Agenda used?
- Why wasn't the May Summit Scoop published on May 1 or May 2, so that homeowners would be reminded of the May 6th Board meeting and would be better informed before the meeting?
