How to Become a Voting Member
The May 2025 Summer Scoop continues to advertise for Neighborhood Representatives in four neighborhoods in The Summit.
The four neighborhoods are Autumn Glen, Indigo Springs, Pineclave, and Waverly Place. These four constitute about 19.6% of the HOA. These homeowners have NO representation in the Association or before the Board of Directors.
The ad on Page 5 in the Scoop directs readers to contact the office for "more" information.
Question: what information does the office give you?
Indigo Springs hasn't had a Voting Member since December 2022. That's nearly 2½ Years!
The Board of Directors has completely failed these four neighborhoods. Obviously, posting an ad in the Scoop and placing a sign at the entrance of Indigo Springs is ineffective.
Why aren't the Board of Directors and the (HOA's) Neighborhood Committee taking effective steps to assist those four neighbors to electing bonafide [local] Neighborhood Committees, which will then elect Voting Members.
The Mission of the HOA's Neighborhood Committee is:
Responsible for helping each community in the Summit to locate and elect a local neighborhood committee that will represent their community at SCA board meetings and thereby allow their Voting member to vote on vital issues that affect the Summit and their local neighborhood. The Neighborhood Committee will assist and advise local neighborhoods with problems that they encounter.
Has any board member read this Mission Statement?
Has the chairman of the HOA's Neighborhood Committee read this Mission Statement?
There is one way, and one way only, to become a legitimate Voting Member. It is described in the By-Laws at Art. V, §3, ¶1-4.
It's not by "getting signatures".
It's not by hanging onto the office for years without holding Annual Neighborhood Meetings.
It's not by inheriting the office.
It won't be by electronic voting by homeowners.
