Who Keeps the HOA Afloat?
When certain homeowners don't pay their dues, who keeps the HOA afloat?
You do (if you are paying).
Should homeowners pay their Assessments? And pay them on-time?
As of 2/28/2025, Accounts Receivable (unpaid Assessments) were $529,994.30.
Yet, every month the Management Company (CAMS) reports to the Board of Directors that "Collection activity is currently being conducted in accordance with Association policy."
For years I have said there is something wrong with the "Collection activity" or the "Association policy." Or both!
If you owned a business and your Collection Department had this track record, what action would you take?
Would you fire those in charging of collecting debts?
If your Directors were not on top of the Officers of the business (President, VP, Treasurer, Secretary), would you replace all your Directors?
