May Summit Scoop - Published 5/8/25
Be sure to read the President's Report on Page 1 of the May 2025 Summit Scoop, which was emailed to homeowners and some residents today.
How many of the 2,480 homeowners receive it? The office told me two years ago that they had email addresses for about 75% of the homeowners.
Do they have email addresses for any of the lessees or renters?
If you are concerned about temporary structures (the trampoline issue), be sure to email the office for a copy of procedures governing changes in the Covenants. (This, of course, has nothing to do with trampolines; it's just a deflection.)
Trampolines are not a Covenants problem. Trampoline ARE a Board of Directors problem, because one or more Directors seems to object to trampolines. To my knowledge, the Board itself has never taken a position on trampolines.
Many homeowners believe that trampolines are not "structures". They are not like tents, utility sheds, shacks, or trailers. And "temporary play equipment" on a homeowner's property is not, to my knowledge, mentioned anywhere in the Covenants.
Homeowners should find out how the issue of trampolines came up in the first place. Did one homeowner complain to a board member about noise from a neighbor's yard? Ask for an answer. Don't get put off with "Email the office".
