What is the Neighborhood Committee?
Look at Page 2 in the December 2024 Summit Scoop and notice how well-populated the Committees are - except for the Neighborhood Committee, which is chaired by Reginald Mack and has NO other members.
This may be the most-important Committee of the HOA, because its job is to work with the 28 Neighborhoods and assist them to hold Annual Neighborhood Meetings. In case the Board can't understand "Annual", that means yearly - every year.
That's when the homeowners elect their three-member [local] Neighborhood Committees, which then elect the Voting Member for the following 12 months.
Is that why Danny isn't appointing any Members to that committee? If he did, then they could get some work done and help 27 Neighborhoods to have legitimate Voting Members.
Right now more than 20% of the homeowners are not represented before the Board. And they don't even know (or care), because the HOA is not telling them.
Homeowners deserve the legal representation that the Voting Member gives them. Without legitimate Voting Members, there can be no elections of Directors. Without legitimate Directors, there is no legitimate Board of Directors. Without a legitimate Board of Directors, there can be no legitimate Officers.
Legitimate Voting Members are also needed to approve any amendments to the CC&Rs and By-Laws. There is no reason go to the expense of a Referendum, if there is only one legitimate Voting Member (Barony Place) in the entire HOA.
