One of Most Important Committees - No Chairperson

One of the most-important committees of the HOA not only has no committee members, it now has no chairperson!

The (HOA's) Neighborhood Committee (NC)is one of the most-important committees. Its Mission is

Responsible for helping each community in the Summit to locate and elect a local neighborhood committee that will represent their community at SCA board meetings and thereby allow their Voting member to vote on vital issues that affect the Summit and their local neighborhood. The Neighborhood Committee will assist and advise local neighborhoods with problems that they encounter. (Source: HOA's website)

I moved into The Summit in 2018. George Reynolds was the chairperson of the NC at that time.

In the September 2021 Summit Scoop Jess McClinton's name is published as the chairperson of the HOA's NC.

In the October 2024 Summit Scoop Reginald Mack's name is published as the chairperson of the NC.

Mack's name last appeared in the Summit Scoop as chairperson of the NC in the September 2025 issue. There is no chairperson at this time.

To my knowledge, in the eight years I have lived here, the HOA's Neighborhood Committee never attempted to fulfill its Mission.

How does the current Board President or the past President explain that? They don't, because they are not held accountable by the Board or by the Members (homeowners).
