Was Danny's Letter Election Interference?
When HOA Board President Danny Trapp sent a letter to Brookland Baptist Church Northeast in mid-September, what was his intent?
The Church received his letter on September 15, 2025. On September 19th the Church replied to Danny, agreeing to ban four Summit residents from Church property and meetings (which would include HOA Board Meetings held in a church meeting room).
The four are three homeowners and one resident. The homeowners include two Voting Members and one "almost" Voting Member.
The timing is curious, because those Voting Members have been verbally critical of Danny's "leadership" of the HOA. If the prohibition isn't promptly rescinded, then those three will be unable to vote for directors on November 11th. Danny is running for re-election, and every vote will count.
Can his letter be construed as interfering with the HOA's upcoming election on November 11th to elect four directors?
Danny certainly wouldn't stoop to retaliation, retribution, vengeance, or any personal act against Voting Members or me. Would he?
Why did he include me? I hadn't been at a Board Meeting or in the Church for seven months (since February 4, 2025)!
Did the Board of Directors approve his letter to the Church? Did the Board authorize him to send it, before he mailed it? How many Board members didn't know about it until October 6th?
Why did Danny hold the Church's letter for two weeks before forwarding it to the four of us, to be delivered the day before the October 7th Board Meeting?
Did Danny jeopardize the HOA's monthly meeting location? Of what did Danny accuse the four of us in his letter to the Church? What did that letter say?
You may be able to obtain a copy of that official letter from the HOA by making a written request to Town & Country's Property Manager, Robert Williamson. Email him at Summithelpdesk@tcgrd.com
