Study Your Board Candidates - Angelo Turley-Moore

Contact your "recognized Voting Member" and ask him/her to elect only directors who are

  • of the highest caliber,
  • selected for interpersonal skills,
  • dedicat(ed) to the betterment of our Association and community, and
  • free of any personal agenda.

OK, let's look at the eight candidates, one by one.

Sixth, Angelo Turley-Moore

I met Angelo at a Board Meeting in November. He stood out from the crowd because he was sitting up front and he addressed the Board with specific issues.

Not that it mattered much to the Board.

Angelo has been collecting signatures to become a Voting Member for Indigo Springs. The HOA's Neighborhood Committee was of no help to him (or to any other neighborhood).

This Board continues to recognize "getting signatures" as a way to become a Voting Member. He expects to have the number of signatures required by the Board to be recognized before the November 18th board meeting.

Angelo is a manager of a McDonald's Restaurant. He is experienced in dealing with rules and regulations. He is also experienced in applying the law to business situations.

Recently, Angelo (along with two other Voting Members and Gus Philpott) was unfairly banned from Brookland Baptist Church Northeast, after the Church received a letter from Board President Danny Trapp. The Church's letter (ban) is invalid, because it does not comply with South Carolina trespass law.

The timing of the letter from Danny to the Church (and the Church's response) indicates to me that its purpose was to prevent Angelo from attending the board meeting , which the Summit Scoop had publicized as on November 11th. More importantly, it could have prevented Angelo from attending the Annual Meeting of Voting Members (AMVM), at which four directors will be elected. The AMVM and the following board meeting will now not be held at the Church. (Veterans Day didn't have anything to do with the change.) Angelo will be at the November 18th AMVM and board meeting at North Springs Park Community Center.

Should the Voting Members elect Angelo Turley-Moore as a director? Yes.
