OK, let's look at the candidates, one by one.

Third, Greg Thomas.

Greg was on the Board until November 2024 and served as Board Secretary. Right after he was re-elected in November 2024 to a two-year term (2024-2026), he resigned. No reason was ever given publicly.

The Secretary is the Board officer who attests to the President's signature and who joins the President in signing contracts. Years ago I noticed that it was Vernell Butler who was signing contracts with Justin Martin. I always wondered why the Treasurer was signing contracts (ex. the CAMS contract in 2023; Richland County Sheriff's Department for its Special Duty Agreement), instead of the Secretary. Board members should have been asking that question.

Online records for the Summit Scoop go back to January 2016, and Greg was Secretary then.

Greg attended many Board meetings but seldom had much to say. He never said publicly why he quit right after being re-elected.

Candidates don't campaign publicly for election as a director, because homeowners (Members) don't elect them. Voting Members elect directors Candidates were interviewed on November 1st and, according to the PRM, get two minutes at the Annual Meeting of Voting Members (November 18) to ask Voting Members to elect them.

Should the Voting Members elect Greg Thomas as a director? Greg is a qualified candidate.
