HOA's Nominating Committee, Oct. 26

There should be nothing secret about the actions of the HOA's Nominating Committee.

The Committee should have acted independently of the Board of Directors and officers of the HOA. Did it?

When the Committee met in closed session on Saturday, October 26, after it interviewed the applicants for director, it should have chosen at least three, perhaps four, possibly five, candidates and then nominated them for election.

There were eight applicants. Didn't the Committee rank them?

If the Committee acted with integrity and authority, then its nominees would be the only names on the ballot for election by the Voting Members on November 12th.

What really happened?

There should be Minutes of the Committee's meeting, and those Minutes should be on file at the HOA office and available for inspection by any Member (homeowner) of the Association or that person's representative.
