Why is the Online Calendar so Sparse?

One place to find out what's going on with the Summit's HOA is the Calendar on the HOA's website. Except you won't learn much from looking at it.

There are at least 12 committees in the HOA:

Youth

Safety

Activities

Finance

Contracts

Covenants

Ponds & Lakes

Landscape

Modifications

Nominating

Neighborhood

Newsletter

The November online Calendar shows meeting information for only two committees (Modification and Finance Committees) and the board meeting. It doesn't even show the Annual Meeting of Voting Members, which is the most important meeting of the year.

Serious attention is needed to communications with homeowners and residents. Wouldn't it be nice if the Board grasped the importance of good communications?

There is a dues increase coming. If communications were strong, homeowners might not grumble so loudly as they probably will.

The Calendar in the November Scoop was slightly more complete. In addition to listing the Modification(s) and the Finance Committees meetings and the Board meeting, it carried the meetings for the Landscaping Committee and the Ponds & Lakes Committee.

It did not show the Annual Meeting of Voting Members.
