Why is The Summit Scoop late - again?
Every month the HOA publishes The Summit Scoop. When should it be distributed?
Because of two important events happening next week, the November Scoop should have been published on Friday, November 1. Or on Monday, November 4.
On November 12 the Annual Meeting of Voting Members is scheduled to be held. This Meeting is to include the election of three directors.
At 6:30PM the monthly Regular Board Meeting is to be held.
Seven applicants for the Board were approved by the Nominating Committee. The ballot will apparently contain eight names. Those names should be published by the HOA, so that homeowners (Members) can register their support or opposition with their respective Voting Members.
For 3-4 years I have urged the board to establish a Communications Committee of the HOA and to put a homeowner or board member in charge of it. The Scoop is mostly boilerplate, with very little new, fresh, or interesting information. This is true of the HOA's website, too.
The Scoop should be distributed on the first or second business day of each month. Why doesn't the Board monitor the publication date more closely and direct the office to publish The Scoop on time?
