Where are Board Minutes?
Now that the Summit's HOA Board of Directors is meeting out of public view, the Minutes of their meetings should be posted promptly for homeowners to read.
The Board met on short notice in a Special Meeting on or about August 22, 2023 and decided to ban homeowners from monthly Board meetings. Why would they do that?
Board President Justin Martin wrote on nextdoor.com, in part, "The reason why the board chose to close the BOD meeting was you." Now, Justin didn't mention my name, but he clearly meant me, Gus Philpott.
Was that a responsible action for him to take? He dislikes one resident, so he bans 2,465 homeowners? Time for a new President, folks!
Where are the Minutes of that Special Meeting?
Then the Board fled to Zoom on September 5th, even though the regular monthly meeting was scheduled to be held at the church, and the church had the room set up for the 6:30PM meeting. A dozen homeowners were there. The Board was not!
Where are the Minutes of the September 5, 2023 board meeting?
Where are the July 31, 2023 financial statements of the HOA?
Homeowners, it is time to WAKE UP. You should not allow the Board to take the actions it is taking.
How do you stop them? You climb all over your Neighborhood Representatives (Voting Members). The big problem is that none of them is probably legitimate, because no Neighborhoods are holding the Annual Neighborhood Meetings, as required by the By-Laws.
According to the HOA's attorney, Billie Jones is recognized as the Barony Place Neighborhood Representative, even though the Barony Place Neighborhood has not held an Annual Neighborhood Meeting in more than five years. So maybe the Board recognizes your Neighborhood Representative in the same way. (The wrong way.)
