How to Communicate with the Board
How is the new communication system working out for homeowners?
The President of the HOA, Danny Trapp, wants to eliminate public comments at Board meetings. He wants you to email the office, rather than voicing your concerns (in public) at monthly board meetings. Is he trying to isolate the homeowners (Members) who have issues, complaints, concerns, problems?
In the June 2025 Summit Scoop Trapp wrote, in part, "Residents who have concerns are encouraged to notify the office, and a response will be submitted to them by me. This will help us to continue to streamline our monthly meetings."
What does that really say?
First, he used the word "Residents", not Members. What happens when a resident contacts him? (I can't, thanks to a Court Order on March 11, 2025. I am prohibited from communicating with the Board or the office.)
If you have a gripe (ex., where are the May Minutes? Where are the Financial Operating Results for February, March, April? Where are the 2023 forensic internal and external audits?), just "notify" the office.
And what will Danny do? He says he will submit a response to the office.
Notice that Danny does not say that the office will respond to you. Or that he will respond to you. Or that you will get his response.
You probably realize now that you, the homeowner, have no authority with the Board. You are supposed to be represented by a Voting Member.
If you live in Barony Place (Barony Place I and Barony Place II), you are represented by a (legitimate) Voting Member. The Annual Neighborhood Meeting was held on May 10, 2025, and Tracy Manderino was re-elected as Voting Member.
What about the other 27 Neighborhoods in The Summit? When was your last Annual Neighborhood Meeting? Post that date in the Comment section below, along with the name of your Neighborhood.
