Why Wasn't There an Activities Committee Meeting?
The HOA's Activities Committee was scheduled to meet last night - Thursday, June 12.
The Committee meeting was promoted on the new Facebook group's page. According to a comment posted there today, four homeowners showed up, including one for the first time and one for the second time.
The website lists these homeowners as members of the Activities Committee:
Danny Trapp (President of the HOA)Sandra McGee-DoddPatricia Pollin ("recognized" Board Member)
The meeting was scheduled to start at 6:30PM but, when the four showed up, the lights were off and the door was locked.
The four killed 15 minutes waiting, left, and then one was called by another first-timer who had showed up, only to find the office locked.
Why would Danny show such extreme discourtesy? Why didn't Trapp and Pollin show up? Did they know the meeting was not going to take place? Why wasn't the meeting canceled?
The office didn't know the meeting was not going to be held.
The budget for the Activities Committee is $10,500. What does it spend all that money on?
Does Danny owe a public apology for the meeting fiasco?
[Edited 6/14/25 Sandra McGee-Dodd showed up for the meeting and had not been informed of any cancellation.]
