Urgent, Immediate Action by BOD Needed

Applications for two open positions on the Board of Directors will be received until June 20. The Board should not vote on candidates before the July 1st Regular Board Meeting. No decisions should be made at the closed, private, pre-board meeting on June 24th.

There is action needed by the Board that is even more important - in fact, urgent - than appointing two new directors to replace the two who resigned in May.

There is a person on the Board who is not eligible to be on the Board. That person was apparently appointed to the Board in a closed, private, special Board Meeting between the Regular November 2023 board meeting and the Regular December 2023 board meeting, after Greg Thomas resigned following his re-election on November 7, 2023.

Patricia Pollin is not a Member of the Association, and she is not a spouse of a Member. Therefore, she cannot be a Director. (By-Laws, Art. III,  §A, ¶1).

Who vetted the candidates to succeed Greg Thomas and Vernell Butler,  who also resigned suddenly in November 2023? Who knew at the time (November 2023) that Pollin was not eligible? Did all the board members (Trapp, Bryant, Holmes, Potter, Rybicki) know that she was not eligible?

The Voting Members and the HOA's attorney should investigate how Pollin came to be considered eligible for appointment.

The urgency in this matter is that Pollin should not be allowed to vote on candidates to succeed the directors who resigned in May.

Only four directors (Trapp, Bryant, Potter, Holmes) should be voting on candidates to succeed Adams and Bates. Only four voting will force them to choose quality candidates; otherwise, a 2-2 vote on a candidate fails.

On July 1st the Board should announce the new vacancy and then appoint a director to succeed Pollin for the remainder of the term until November 2025.
